Kitchen Inspiration

My kitchen is decorated with fruits (mainly apples). I used one of my doilies (seen in the picture) as inspiration for this card. This card was the inspiration challenge on SCS. Here are the instructions for this card.
1. Cut piece of vanilla cs at 3 x 6 and fold in half.
2. Cut 3/4 inch off one end of the vanilla cs.
3. Cut watercolor paper 3 x 3 and trim one end with scalloped scissors.
4. Color end of scallops with garden green marker (you could use your ink pad too), and then spritz with water holding the scallops up so the water runs down the paper. Set aside to dry.
5. Cut Ruby Red cs 3 x 2 and adhere to the top of the vanilla cs (on the side that you trimmed off 3/4 inch).
6. After the watercolor paper has dried (I pressed mine between 2 pieces of papertowl to aid in this), adhere it to the front of the card on the side where the ruby red paper (so that the card ends up being 3 x 3 again).
7. Use the apple stamp for Tart and Tangy stamp set SU!. Color with ruby red and garden green inks. Mist lightly with water, and stamp onto watercolor cs. Allow to dry.
8. Punch out apple with 1 3/8 circle punch.
9. Punch out scallop circle SU! from garden green cs.
10. Adhere punched circle with apple onto scallop garden green circle.
11. Adhere ribbon on back of garden green scallop circle, add dimensionals, and place in upper left hand of card.
12. Punch out word window from watercolor paper.
13. Stamp happy birthday sentiment from Birthday Basics (PapertreyInk) onto word window in garden green ink.
14. Color edges of word window with ruby red mark (could use ink pad here as well) and then take a watercolor brush and "color" around edges just so that the ink starts to run. Allow to dry.
15. Adhere to front of card with dimensionals.

You are done. I love making 3 x 3 cards because they are so quick and simple. These will be given to some of my coworkers. I hope you enjoyed the card.
