Acrylic Stamps and Watercolor Crayons

I have never used my watercolor crayons with acrylic stamps before. I found that spritzing the stamp before and after applying the watercolor crayons gives you the best results. I created this card for the Tuesday Color Challenge on SCS. For this card, I used my Women of Life stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I love this stamp set and find my self gravitating towards it. I think it is the simple, classy, versatile images and sayings that I love so much. I used three different watercolor crayons: sage shadow, orchid opulence, and creamy caramel. I used the creamy caramel for inside of the flower. I just put 3-4 "dots" in the center with the crayon and then used my watercolor brush to blend. It gave it just the hint of color I was looking for. The paper is used for image was watercolor paper. I like the way the watercolor crayons look on this paper. I added some simple details by paper piercing in the upper corners of the image paper, as well as paper pierced between the brads. I also added a little detail by tying knots on the ends of two of the hemp strands. I am happy with how this turned out. I plan on giving it to my mom for Mother's Day. Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my creations.
